Europcar is committed to making its website accessible to all users, in accordance with French Law No. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005 on equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of persons with disabilities.
This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.europcar.com
Compliance Status
The website https://www.europcar.com is not compliant with the Référentiel Général d’Amélioration de l’Accessibilité (RGAA 4.1), due to non-conformities identified during the accessibility pre-audit conducted in September 2025.
The site achieved an overall compliance rate of 35.4%.
This evaluation was carried out in accordance with Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005.
Accessibility Approach
Europcar is engaged in a continuous improvement process to enhance digital accessibility and ensure an inclusive, seamless and equitable experience for all users — including those with disabilities.
For several months, Design, Product, and Development teams have been working together to embed accessibility principles at the heart of design and publishing processes.
The following actions have already been implemented:
- Drafting and sharing internal documentation on accessibility best practices for design and development teams.
- Providing accessibility testing and simulation tools (screen readers, colour-blindness simulators, keyboard navigation, etc.) for daily checks.
- Offering continuous training and awareness sessions on digital accessibility for employees.
- Systematically integrating WCAG 2.1 recommendations from the W3C into design and evaluation processes.
In May 2025, Europcar selected Ideance, a specialized accessibility agency, to support these efforts.
As part of this collaboration:
- A pre-audit was conducted in September 2025 on three key website pages.
- The pre-audit results now serve as the foundation for a prioritized action plan.
- A full accessibility audit is planned to measure progress and achieve higher RGAA compliance.
Europcar’s goal is to make accessibility a long-term pillar of its digital quality strategy, ensuring that every new version or feature is assessed through the lens of inclusion.
