IMPORTANT INFORMATION PRIOR TO PICKING UP YOUR VEHICLE
In New Zealand, you will need to present:
A valid full driver's licence for the main driver and any additional drivers showing a current residential address in English. (If you do not have a valid New Zealand Drivers License, an International Driver's Permit must accompany your driver’s licence.).
A valid credit or debit* card in the name of the main driver, matching the relevant Driver’s Licence
A passport if you are not a New Zealand resident
If using a debit card you are required to provide a second form of acceptable identification in addition to your driver’s licence. For example, utility or phone bill (with matching address), bank statement (with matching address), passport or a credit card matching the main driver information.
NB Payment by debit card is not available on all vehicle types.
The Europcar counter at Wellington Airport is on the Ground Floor of the Main Terminal Building.
Keep following the Rental Cars sign and after passing the conveyer belt for luggage, you will find Europcar first on your left.

Yes. You will be charged a pre-authorisation fee on your credit or debit card. This means that the funds have been placed on hold as a pending charge in your account, and you may see it has been removed from your available balance. However, nothing will be taken out of your account and no charges will occur until the end of the rental.
Europcar releases the pre-authorisation immediately upon return of the vehicle via an electronic message to your bank. The actual release process can take up to 15 business days however generally it is completed within 3-7 business days depending on your bank. You will not see a refund, instead the pending transaction will disappear from your account
Additional cover to reduce your liability can be purchased at the Europcar counter when you pick up your rental.

Europcar provides complete 24-hour emergency roadside assistance. The contact number to be called is printed on the rental agreement and on the windscreen of the rental vehicle. In the event of a breakdown or an accident, you will receive prompt assistance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PRIOR TO RETURNING YOUR VEHICLE
At Wellington Airport's entrance you will get a barrier, pass this barrier by simply taking a free ticket (Keep This Ticket). Drive straight towards rental car park. At Rental Car Park's entrance you will come to a barrier - please insert the same ticket you got at the entrance into the machine. Take Right as soon as you enter the Rental Car Park and you will find Europcar. We have 3 car parks under the shed and 9 in the open area.

After hour returns can park their car in our rental car park and drop the key in the Key Drop box attached to the wall at our Europcar counter inside the terminal.
