Specific Terms & Conditions Europcar Premium Pick up (Portugal)
These specific conditions come in addition to the general Terms and Conditions and are intended to specify the conditions of the Europcar Premium Pick up (the “Service”). This Premium Pick up has been designed by Europcar to save you time when collecting the vehicle.
Conditions to benefit from the Europcar Premium Pick up:
You have booked your vehicle with a Premium Package, which includes a Zero Excess Damage and Theft protection; Full to Full; Unlimited Mileage; Windscreen, Glass, Lights & Tyres protection; Roadside Assistance Cover in the rental country and abroad (RSA and EMS); Young Driver Surcharge; Via Verde Toll Device (except for Portuguese Islands); Reduced deposit amount and the Europcar Premium Pick Up,...
If the station where your Vehicle will be collected is equipped with Key Dispensers, you will have no need to go to the counter,
You have a Driver ID issued to you as part of a previous rental or you agree to upload all the required documents (driving license, ID card, …)
You have a valid driving license, and all the elements of your reservation have been confirmed in advance, including your pre-payment,
You agree to the electronic validation of your rental contract and accept these Special Terms & Conditions in addition to the Europcar Terms and Conditions of Hire.
You will receive, by email, a voucher to confirm your booking and the Europcar Terms and Conditions.
You must notify Europcar as soon as possible if there are any changes regarding the status of your driving license between placing your booking with us and collecting the keys for the vehicle from the Key Dispenser. If not; you must assume sole responsibility for any consequence arising from the lack of veracity in the information provided, as well as the lack of communication of any alteration of the driver's driving license at the time of use of the Key Dispenser system and during the use of the vehicle rented through this system.
At the time of withdrawal of the keys from our Key Dispenser, it will not be possible to purchase additional services without presenting yourself at the counter.
Process to collect the keys from the Key Dispenser
To collect the keys from our automatic Key Dispenser, you will have to:
-scan the QR code printed on the voucher or to enter your booking number and your birth date,
-select a vehicle in the category chosen,
-pay the deposit amount for the fuel with your credit/debit card. You grant a credit card authorization for the deposit. It will be canceled /refunded at the end of the rental period in accordance with the T&C's
The complete rental agreement, with the status of the chosen vehicle at pick-up, will be sent on your email address and, in some stations; a summary of the rental agreement, indicating the location of the vehicle, could be printed by the Key Dispenser.
The voucher sent to you is personal and non-transferable and can only be used by you. Therefore, you undertake to protect this voucher, taking reasonable precautions to prevent its loss, disclosure, alteration or unauthorized use. You undertake to immediately notify Europcar by written email of any loss or possible disclosure of this document. Failing this, Europcar cannot be held responsible for the recovery of the keys by an unauthorized person.
Vehicle pick-up
When you arrive at your Vehicle, you will have the possibility to check whether the information on the documentation we have provided (including vehicle condition and fuel or electricity level) is accurate.
If you do not believe it is accurate, you could send an email to the address mentioned in clause 10 of our Terms and Conditions of Hire, or contact an agent in the station if you prefer.
