What happens if I do not arrive to collect the car?

We understand that travel plans can change! If you need to cancel your reservation, you will need to do so before 48 hours of your hire start time to avoid any cancellation or no-show fees.

How to Cancel

You can cancel your booking:

  • Online via the Europcar website
  • Through our Reservation Centre
  • With your travel provider, if you booked through a third party (such as a travel agent or online booking platform)

What Happens if You Don’t Cancel and Don’t Show Up?

If you miss your scheduled pick-up time and haven't cancelled your reservation, a no-show fee will apply. This fee:

  • Will be charged to the payment method you provided at booking, or
  • Deducted from any prepaid amount, or
  • In the absence of payment details, you may still be held liable for the fee

The amount will be charged in the local currency, or where applicable, in your card’s billing currency, based on the exchange rate and terms in effect at the time of the transaction.

Booked a non-refundable or non-changeable offer?

If you selected a special package, such as our "Light Package", with these restrictions, unfortunately:

  • Cancellations or changes are not allowed, and
  • No refunds can be issued in the event of a cancellation or no-show.
