How do I cancel my booking, and what are the conditions and fees?
We understand that travel plans can change! Here’s a quick guide to help you cancel your rental with confidence.
Can I cancel for free?
Yes, cancellation is free if both of the following apply:
- You didn’t book a non-refundable or non-changeable rate*, and
- You cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled pick-up time.
What if I cancel less than 48 hours before pick-up?
Cancellation charges depend on how you paid:
- Late cancellation: A cancellation fee will be deducted from your prepaid amount.
- No-show (no cancellation + no pick-up): A no-show fee may apply.

- Card provided: Cancellation or no-show fees may be charged to your card.
- No card provided: You may still be liable for charges.

How do I cancel my booking?
- Booked online? Cancel via our website By clicking Here or by connecting to your Europcar account.
- Booked by phone? Contact our Reservation Centre directly.
- Booked through a third party (e.g. travel agent or comparison site)? Please contact them directly to manage or cancel your booking.
*Booked a non-refundable or non-changeable offer?
If you selected a special package with these restrictions, unfortunately:
- Cancellations or changes are not allowed, and
- No refunds can be issued in the event of a cancellation or no-show.
