TRAFFIC FINES DISPUTE DETAILS

DUBAI
If you are based in Dubai, you can contest a traffic fine in Dubai using any of the options mentioned below:
  • Visit the Dubai Police Portal to inquire about traffic fines online
  • Visit the General Directorate of Traffic headquarters in Al Barsha to contest a traffic fine in Dubai. (EGMG can provide NOC)
  • Visit your nearest Dubai Police station to file a complaint. (EGMG can provide NOC)
  • Call Dubai Traffic Department at +971-4-699-3555 to contest a traffic fine
RTA
If you are based in Dubai, you can contest a RTA fine in Dubai using any of the options mentioned below:
ABU DHABI
You can lodge an Abu Dhabi fine complaint for a traffic violation by visiting the Abu Dhabi Police E-complaints Portal.
  • Open the e-complaints portal of Abu Dhabi and select the option ‘Objection to a traffic violation’.
  • In the form, enter your personal details including full name, Emirates ID, email address and contact details.
  • Also, enter your car details such as plate number and select plate category, source and colour from the drop-down list.
  • Enter the fine number and select fine type from the drop-down list.
  • Next, select your preferred time of call back from Abu Dhabi Police for further information.
  • Also, fill in the details of why you are contesting a traffic fine in Abu Dhabi and also write a relevant customer solution. Attach any relevant images to support your complaint.
  • Once the form is filled, click on ‘Submit’.
In case your lodged Abu Dhabi fine complaint is deemed appropriate, it will be cancelled by Abu Dhabi Police. Or, they may contact you for further inquiries.
SHARJAH
You can raise a Sharjah traffic fine objection by contacting Sharjah Police Traffic Department through Whatsapp at +971-6-517-7555.
Or, contest a traffic fine in Sharjah through the MOI smartphone app (Android | iOS) by following these steps.
  • Once downloaded, use your UAE Pass account to sign in.
  • Select the ‘Help’ option on the menu at the bottom of the screen.
  • Then, select ‘Complain’.
  • Here you may enter your traffic fine details and briefly describe why you think the fine was issued incorrectly.
In case your Sharjah traffic fine objection is valid, the fine will be reversed by the Sharjah Traffic Department.
AJMAN
You may contest a traffic fine in Ajman through the Ajman Police smartphone app (Android | iOS) by following these steps.
  • Once downloaded, sign in using your UAE Pass account.
  • Next, click on ‘Smart Services’ on the menu at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select ‘Traffic Services’ and then select ‘Objection on traffic penalty’.
  • Enter your fine details including the type of fine and fine number.
  • Also, state why you are objecting to the fine in the details section. You may also attach images relevant to the traffic violation or fine to support your appeal.
  • Once the form is filled, select ‘Send objection request’.
Once your request is reviewed by the Ajman Police, they may reverse the fine if deemed incorrect.
RAS AL KHAIMAH, UMM AL QUWAIN , FUJAIRAH
  • Download the MOI smartphone application.
  • Once downloaded, sign in using your UAE Pass account.
  • Select ‘Help’ from the menu at the bottom and then select ‘Complain’.
  • To file RAK fine complaint, enter your fine details here and briefly state why you think it was incorrectly issued.
Once the complaint is reviewed by the relevant Police Department and deemed accurate, your fine will be reversed.
Whichever mode is convenient, you can opt to contest the traffic fine either online or lodge a complaint by visiting the General Directorate of Traffic headquarters in person where you have to submit all the relevant details regarding the fine and your vehicle.
IF NOT SATISFIED WITH THE RESOLUTION PROVIDED BY THE RESPECTIVE EMIRATE TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT
Approach the Traffic Prosecution Department
If your complaint was deterred inaccurate and you are not satisfied with the decision, you can approach the Traffic Prosecution Department and seek their help. This way, you can get your case transferred to the court for further review.
On the date assigned by the court, you have to present your case providing them with all the relevant details. This is the last stage of the procedure and the court’s verdict cannot be challenged whether it is in your favor or not.
