The Board of Directors of Europcar and Eurazeo, the majority shareholder of Europcar, announced today the appointment of Philippe Germond to the position of Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Germond will assume his duties as of 1st October 2014. Patrick Sayer, Chairman of Eurazeo's Management Board, stated: We are extremely happy with Philippe Germond's arrival as the Europcar Group's CEO. In the course of his career, Philippe has amply proven his ability, particularly in listed companies, to support major transformation projects by anticipating change, and by making the companies he heads more digital and more customer-oriented. With Philippe on board, we can move confidently forward into the next stage of Europcar's development, knowing that the management team is going to continue the impressive job of accelerating Europcar's growth that it has accomplished these last few years." About Philippe Germond
Since 2009, Philippe Germond has been the Chief Executive Officer of PMU. He has previously occupied the positions of President of Atos Origin (2007-2008), member of the Management Board of Atos Worldline (2006 - 2008), President of Alcatel (2003 - 2005), Chief Executive Officer of SFR - Cegetel (1995 - 2002) and member of the Management Board of Hewlett - Packard, where he began his career. Philippe Germond is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Paris - ECP Paris (1979) and holds a Master's Degree in Science Management from Stanford University (1980).
