Paris, June 3rd. 2006 - The international car rental company Europcar will be significantly strengthening its commitment in the Middle East in the future. In order to give a further boost to customer service throughout the area, Europcar will shortly be opening a regional call centre that exclusively covers this area. With an impressively sized stand at the Arabian Tourist Market (ATM), Europcar is once again underlining the importance of the said region in its long-term development strategy. Europcar is the No. 1 on the European car rental market, one of the leading international car rental companies, and holder of the World Travel Awards distinction of "Middle East's Leading Car Hire".

 

Europcar is continuously consolidating its presence in the Middle East at the moment - particularly through partnerships with hotels in Dubai. These activities have already shown marked success: during the first quarter of 2006, Europcar was able to increase its inbound and outbound business operations within the region by more than 50 percent over the previous year.

 

This growth goes hand in hand with the company's development strategy, which is mainly based on the collaboration with potential major travel partnerships. In order to further enhance this strategy, Olivier Jacquet was appointed as the new International Account Manager at the beginning of the year. Jacquet is an established expert on the hotel business in the Middle East region.
